Born and raised in Nairobi, Sehar Manji is now a Montreal-based improviser, actor, writer, teacher and comedian. She performs regularly on stages around the city and a is a core cast member of Colour Outside The Lines, an improv show celebrating diversity within Montreal’s improv community, and The Super Bon Bon. She wrote and performed her first solo show in 2012 about a hoarder, which evolved into the Frankie-nominated, whirlwind comedy at the Montreal Fringe, “Total Liquidation” (2015, co-written + performed with Lar Vi) and performed in “The Kicker” (2016, written and directed by Vance Gillis). She continues to express her writing as half of the sketch duo, Big Mall and as a featured writer/performer in Joketown. She has appeared in local festivals (MPROV, Montreal Sketchfest, Ladyfest, Fringe, OFF-JFL) and has also performed in in Toronto (The Big City Improv Festival and JFL42), New York (The Del Close Marathon) and is excited to be heading west in October this year to be a part of the International Ensemble at the Vancouver International Improv Festival for the second time!
