Called ‘a revelation’ by UK’s ‘The Independent’ and heralded as ‘fantastically intelligent’ by ‘The Globe and Mail’, Heidi is a three time Canadian Comedy Award nominee for Best Female Stand-up in Canada, and has combined her background in theatre with her unusually sardonic perception of everyday life to become a standout presence on the North American comedy scene. Her dry, deadpan delivery has earned her three televised galas as a part of the Montreal International ‘Just For Laughs’ Festival, as well as numerous appearances on CBC radio, television, CBC’s ‘Halifax Comedy Festival’, and on CTV’s ‘Comedy Now!’
Emily has been doing improv for five years. Her main concentration is on Narrative improv and has been part of long running improvised narratives including Camp Wanapoke, As The Bagel Turns, Superhospital and is currently part of Montreal improv’s Narrative house team. Emily has performed in improv festivals including MProv, Montreal improv’s 4th and 5th anniversary, Del Close Improv Marathon and The Montreal Fringe. She plans to bring musical improv to Montreal and continue to challenge herself with new formats.
Bianca has been acting, singing and slinging jokes for as long as she can remember. Today she can be found making funny on any stage that will have her this side of the border, and even dressing as Curious George or Disney Princesses for kids’ parties. Some things just never change.
Ellie MacDonald is a Nova Scotia-born comedian, improvisor, singer and actor. Ellie is a contributing writer for Reductress magazine and has appeared at Zoofest (Montreal), SheDot Festival (Toronto), Pouzzafest (Montreal), Montreal Sketchfest and was one of the 2016 Young Guns of Comedy at the Comedy Nest (Montreal).
Hosted by Emma Wilkie
