Liar Liar Show is a live storytelling game show where the audience votes to see which contestant’s fallacious yarn is most deceptive. Contestants are challenged to tell one story each round for a total of three rounds. Only one of the three contestants will be fibbing in every round. Using ballots, it’s up to the audience to discern who’s speaking from the heart and who’s full of it. The contestant who is most able to deceive the audience goes home with a prestigious prize such as hair wax or boxed macaroni & cheese.

Hosted by Sandi Armstrong

Sandi Armstrong is a lady. She is a lady that performs improv and scripted comedies. She is a regular instructor of the Sunday Night Improv workshop at Theatre Sainte Catherine. People in Montreal have often referred to as “The Queen of Improv” so you know that says something about her improvisation skills. She has kids. She likes them. Sandi is very happy to be a part of Ladyfest. That is all.

Tranna Wintour

Tranna Wintour is an optimistic, spiritual, happy, raunchy, pop-culture-obsessed, fashion-hungry comedienne. She made her comedy debut at an open mic at the Montreal ComedyWorks, and since that fateful moment the lady has been unstoppable. With her unique brand of humour (and glamour!) Tranna has taken the comedy scene by storm. She most recently performed her one-woman show at New York City’s legendary Duplex to a packed and adoring house. She has performed in many festivals including Just For Laughs, SheDot, Zoofest, LadyFest, Pride Toronto, Montreal Sketch Fest, Divers/Cité, and performed her one-woman show, TRANTASY, to rave reviews in the Montreal Fringe Festival (2015). She was selected as a competitor in Sirius XM’s Top Comic contest for two years running. Tranna has also made a name for herself on the burlesque scene, acting as MC for many of Montreal’s most fabulous burlesque troops. This summer Tranna, alongside co-producer and co-host, Thomas Leblanc, performed three sold-out nights of “Sainte Celine: A Dion Cabaret” at OFF Just For Laughs.

Tranna’s work has received the attention of international publications: she’s been profiled in The Daily Front Row (New York City’s official Fashion Week magazine), the UK’s Daily Telegraph, and the Montreal Gazette, which named her one of the city’s 20 hottest Montrealers. She has graced the cover of CultMTL and was ranked the second best comedian in their Best of Montreal poll (she’s placed consistently in the top 3 for the last 3 years) . Tranna has been described by legendary comedienne, Sandra Bernhard, as “a candle in the window on a cold, dark winter’s night.” And Tranna shines that light wherever she performs.

This summer she appeared in no less than six nights during OFF-JFL and Zoofest. She hopes to one day have the steel confidence of a person who jogs on campus.
